SSPCZSecondary School Philosophy Conference of ZhejiangIssue III · 2026

Call for Papers · Issue III

Call for Papers

This year's theme · “Change & Invariance”

The 3rd SSPCZ invites paper submissions from secondary school students passionate about philosophy. In each recommended direction, 2 “presenting papers” and 4 “attending papers” will be selected — presenting authors speak at the conference, and attending papers are published in this session’s proceedings.

Eligibility

Secondary school students with a deep interest in philosophy who wish to present their research. Submissions must include both an abstract and the full paper for comprehensive review.

Theme

Topics should engage the theme “Change & Invariance”: in a life-world of constant flux, what constitutes the invariant we ought to hold — and how can that holding stay alive within change? All serious philosophical work is welcome. The full exposition is in the committee’s letter.

Review Criteria (35 points total)

  1. Argumentation (persuasiveness, logic, sound citation) — 15 points
  2. Thesis (fit with theme, scholarly value) — 15 points
  3. Originality (novelty) — 5 points

Awards

Four prizes are conferred: Best Writing, Best Presentation, Best Theme and Best Originality. One author may win multiple awards.

Originality

Papers must be original, unpublished in any form and not under review elsewhere; they must pass academic-integrity screening, with authorship based on actual contribution.

AI Policy

AI may not be an author or co-author; no more than 15% of the main text may be AI-generated; AI assistance must be disclosed in the acknowledgements, including tools and prompts.
